today is Halloween. When asked by our day care provider if there are any holidays that we celebrate, I answered without skipping a beat “Halloween!”. She looked as us a little strangely, and jon tried to make up for it by talking about how in japan new year’s is an important holiday but it was too late. Of course, now that Halloween is here, you might expect that we would make toby a costume and have prepared a pumpkin and bowl of candy, but because we’ve been incredibly busy, we have none of those things. Even the cats are costume free this year. There was no bowling squid and octopus. Next year though, we’ll have his seahorse costume all ready to go. I swear.
